Cowboys From Hell - Pantera

Pantera was a band I loved growing up. There was this energy and aggression to the music that just helped push me forward through hard times. Admittedly, these days I only really listen to a lot of their bigger hits like Five Minutes Alone and Walk, but I used to listen to their albums on repeat when I was younger. Cowboys From Hell was always, and still remains my favorite. It’s half that amazing riff from the chorus that I spent a lot of nights learning on a dinky acoustic guitar for children and half Anselmo’s vocals. This one isn’t particularly complicated. It’s a song that’s just been something to jump up and down to or go running to whenever I was feeling low since I was twelve. It was also one of the first songs I learned on guitar that wasn’t just the old fare of Jingle Bells and The Saints Go Marching In.
