It’s so strange to say, but I have almost no memories of what happened in any of the Realm of the Elderlings books, though I read all but the Rain Wild books. I really loved them too. I pulled a lot of all-nighters in high school, unable to put the books down. I found a copy of the Assassin’s Apprentice in a book store recently and was hit with this wave of melancholy. I couldn’t tell you why. I remember all of the emotions I felt during series, the Fitz’s life stretching through the various books. I just couldn’t tell you what happened. It’s still important to me, I’m sure if it could have that strong of an effect on me even to this day.
